ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
As a drain cleaner, you clear clogs from various types of drains and pipes such as floor drains, sinks, tubs, toilets, and urinals. You typically use equipment like electric snakes, high-velocity water jets, and sewer cameras for inspecting drain lines.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
- Basic plumbing and or understanding of residential plumbing and fixtures
- Cabling/Rootering/Jetting of drain lines
- Knowledge of sewer lines and septic systems
- Basic understanding of how storm systems work
- Understanding on fresh water pipes and underground water lines
- Understanding the operation of pumps and knowledge on troubleshooting them
- Ability to operate power snakes, hand guns, small/large jetting machines, and underground cameras
